Happy New Year. . . say it with cookies!!
Each year I try to add one or two new cookie recipes into the traditional Christmas mix... some are winners... some, well, not so much. This year I added one from Gooseberry Patch and it was a hands-down favorite... making the permanent roster in its rookie year! Try it... Candy Cane Thumbprints they're delicious (plus a great way to use up those leftover candy canes!)
I agree with you enthusiastically that it is good to add new cookie recipes each year, it shakes things up a bit and keeps you on your toes! This year I added viennese crescents which are basically butter and ground walnuts, who could ask for more? I will certainly try these candy cane thumbprints!
